Students seeking admission to the MBA Program should have passed bachelor’s degree of any recognized education body in Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Science, Engineering/Technology or equivalent, and have secured at least 50% of marks in the aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidate). Must have scored well/appeared in any one of the national level entrance examinations, viz., CAT, XAT, MAT, GMAT etc.

Candidates who have passed bachelor’s examination in B.Com./BBM/BBA degree examination of Bangalore University or any other university considered as equivalent thereto, provided they have obtained minimum 50% of marks in the aggregate (45% for SC/ST/Category-1 candidates) marks in the aggregate in commerce subjects.

Entrance Test (ISAT) & Personal Interview

*Eligibility criteria are subject to change based on university directives and all admissions must be approved by the Bangalore University.

Eligible candidates will be invited for the admission selection process which includes entrance test i.e., ISAT followed by personal interview. The final decision to admit a candidate will be based on the academic records, entrance test and performance in the personal interview.

Eligibility Criteria

The admissions are made as per State Government and affiliated University norms and guidelines. The Director IFIM College ensures that the eligible students have passed the qualifying examinations.

  • The candidates, who have passed under-graduate degree course of Bangalore University or an equivalent examination, will be eligible to join PG degree courses.

  • Candidates must have scored well in any one of the national levels entrance examinations, viz., CAT, XAT, MAT, GMAT etc.

In the case of candidates who have passed other examinations, the Director IFIM College would obtain the clearance from the Registrar, Bangalore University (Affiliating University) about the eligibility of the candidates before confirming their admissions.

The admission committee finalizes the selection list as per the direction of Directorate of College Education. 50% of the sanctioned strength is admitted based on the rules of reservation, and merit is followed for the remaining 50% as applicable to different programmes.

ENTRANCE TEST: ISAT (IFIM Scholastic Aptitude Test)

IFIM conducts its own online scholastic aptitude test known as ISAT for selection of candidates.

  • ISAT is an AI- Proctored Test (virtual mode)

  • Number of sections: Quantitative and logic, Reasoning abilities & English comprehension

  • Number of questions: 75 questions

  • Total Marks: 60

  • Duration: 60 Minutes

Personal Interview

The Personal Interview may be conducted in IFIM Campus or Regional Offices, or Virtual Mode through SKYPE, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc. The final decision to admit a candidate will be based on the overall performance in the complete admission selection process.

UG Programmes

Applications are invited from the eligible students for all the programmes. Transparency in the admission process is ensured by compiling all the data in the application forms. The first list of provisionally selected students is prepared, based on merit and as per the criteria given by the Government.

Application should be prepared in the form prescribed and complete in all respects. The admission team will ensure that the applications in the prescribed form with the required certificates are obtained from the students at the time of admission or within a week after admission and will be sent to the University for approval on the date stipulated by the University.

Candidates must pass 2 years Pre-University examination of Karnataka State or equivalent.Candidates who have passed Diploma in Secretarial/ Commercial practice conducted by Board of Technical Examination; Karnataka may also be eligible for admission directly to the 2nd year of B.Com. degree.Candidates who have passed Diploma in Business Administration conducted by Directorate of Technical Education; Karnataka may also be eligible for admission directly to the 1st year of B.Com. degree.

  • III. Delhi Senior Certificate Course, conducted by CBSE.

  • IV. Indian School Certificate Course, conducted by ICSE.

  • V. National Institute of open schooling – NIOS.
