Scholarship Policy

The IFIM College Scholarship is intended to encourage meritorious students who demonstrate academic excellence and enable those in financial need to pursue law and qualify as a legal professional. The scholarship is a way to demonstrate IFIM’s contribution to social responsibility and its commitment towards nation building. The scholarships are awarded and supported by the generous grant made available every year under the VB Padode Foundation Scholarship.

Scope

The IFIM College Scholarship is available to all eligible students of BBA, B. Com., BCA, BA (JPE), MBA & M. Com. programs for the academic year 2022-23.

Scholarship will be offered to students who meet the requirements and criteria as stated in the guidelines for the scholarship.

Objective

To provide a transparent mechanism to facilitate scholarships to prospective students joining various programs offered at IFIM College.
Adoption of Standard Operating Procedures in the matters related to scholarships to prospective students joining various programs offered at IFIM College.

Policy Owner

The primary owner of the policy shall be the Director IFIM College who will take the final decision in case of matters related to scholarship in the fees. However, the secondary ownership will lie with the Admissions Convenor/Chair of IFIM College who will take all the requisite steps to retain the student and give their final recommendation to the Director.

The secondary owner shall also be responsible to ensure maintenance of necessary documents at the admissions office.

Applicability

VB Padode Foundation Scholarship is applicable to student/s pursuing BBA, B. Com., BCA, BA (JPE), MBA & M.Com. courses at IFIM College, Bangalore. The scholarship will be based on 2 categories: Merit Based Scholarship & Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Based Scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria for Merit Based Scholarship

MBA	10^th Std – 95% and above 12^th Std – 95% and above & UG/Adv. ISAT score 85% and above (OR) with 95% and above in entrance test (CAT, XAT, MAT etc.…)	10^th Std – 85% to 94%, 12^th Std – 85% to 94%, & UG/Adv. ISAT score 79% to 84% (OR) with 85% to 94% in entrance test (CAT, XAT, MAT etc.…)
BBA/BCOM	10^th Std – 95% and above 12^th Std – 95% and above & ISAT score 80% and above (OR) UGAT – 90% and above	10^th Std – 85% to 94%, 12^th Std – 85% to 94%, & ISAT score – 70% to 79% (OR) UGAT – 80% and above
OTHERS	10^th 90% and above, 12^th 90% and above & ISAT score 80% and above (OR) UGAT – 90% and above	10^th Std – 80% to 89%, 12^th Std – 80% to 89% & ISAT score – 70% to 79% (OR) UGAT – 80% and above
Sports	Students participated in National/State Level sports events are also eligible for sports scholarship.

Sports	Students participated in National/State Level sports events are also eligible for sports scholarship.

Conditions for the continuation of Scholarship

The Scholarship is continued for subsequent years only when the students maintain the specified credits throughout the program. The Scholarship automatically stands cancelled, if student fail to maintain min. 90% attendance throughout and excel in academics with desired credits.

The scholarship letter issued by admission committee on the approval of Director IFIM College with declaration form signed by every scholarship student stating the condition for the continuation of scholarship.
